A Norwegian contextualisation of Anthropic's March 2026 research on AI displacement risk. This article compares theoretical LLM capability and observed AI usage across 22 occupational categories, with a Norwegian data overlay based on OECD, SSB, and ILO sources.
Key findings: Norway has 28.2% of workers exposed to generative AI, 2.2 percentage points above the OECD average. Oslo og Viken is twice as exposed as Innlandet (34.7% vs 17.2%). Norway's large public sector creates higher exposure in education and healthcare. Strong collective bargaining provides a structural buffer against rapid displacement. Most exposed occupations include software developers, customer service representatives, data entry keyers, and financial analysts.
